Graphs and Optimization Work-Group of the GDR-RO

About

The goal of the workgroup Graphs and Optimization (Groupe de Travail Graphes et Optimisation du GDR-RO) is to link researchers interested in topics related to graph theory, algorithms, and optimization in a wide sense. Its main audience is researchers working in France and specializing in operations research as well as adjacent fields, notably computer science.

The group regularly organizes scientific events such as seminars or workshops, either alone or in collaboration with other workgroups (notably the GT Graphes of the GDR-IM) or with other research teams. This gives the members of the group the opportunity to meet, discuss, listen to research talks given by invited speakers from France or abroad, and also to present their research. A special emphasis is given to encouraging young members of the research communnity (doctoral students and post-docs) to participate in our events.

The group was founded in 2014 by Bernard Ries and Pierre Charbit. Since 2015, the group has been coordinated by Cédric Bentz and Michail Lampis, and it includes researchers from at least 12 different research labs in France.
