I am Mahdi Zargayouna, Reseracher in Computer Science in the French National Institute for Transport and Safety Research (INRETS), in the Transport Engineering and Computer Science Lab GRETIA. I work mainly on Multi-Agent Systems and on Complex Transportation Applications such as Traveler Information, Crisis Management and Demand-Responsive Transportation Services.

During the last years, I have proposed a new coordination model called ACIOS, and a corresponding coordination language called LACIOS, for the design and implementation of Open Multi-Agent Systems. Designed and implemented with LACIOS, I have proposed a Multi-Agent System for a Traveler Information Server and for a Demand-Responsive Transport Service. I have also proposed a new measure for the Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows, which is based on agents’ perception fields, and used in a parallel insertion heuristic. I am currently working on integrating LACIOS on the CLAIRE-SITI plateform, on defining Multi-Agent models for the Evacuation Control in Crisis Management, in collaboration with researchers from TU-Delft University (The Netherlands), and on new extensions of Dial A Ride problems.
