MILES (Machine Intelligence and Learning Systems)

Joint project between all groups in LAMSADE.

Machine learning is an area at the crossroads of computer science, statistics and applied mathematics. Its purpose is to create models of automatic decisions from data. In this era of "Big Data", information is pervasive and can no longer be processed at the human level. Moreover, the use of increasingly complex learning models raises the need for interpretable learning paradigms, whose results can be certified and explained to the general public.

The MILES project gathers researchers from LAMSADE with backgrounds in theoretical computer science, applied mathematics, game theory and decision aiding. By combining their expertise, MILES fosters innovative results in the field of machine learning and data science.
