Policy Analytics to look at the red mud conflict in Southern France.

A strong socio-environmental conflict due to the release of industrial residues in the Mediterranean Sea has been lasting for more than 40 years near Marseille. Analyzing the present situation through a field work with interviews and observations allows to identify the main shape of environmental conflict in contemporary France, and what it reveals of the way public policy is perceived by different spheres. Arguments about prioritization and legitimacy can help decipher ways to enhance the decision processes.
