The next meeting of the COST Action IC0602 "Algorithmic Decision Theory" will be held in Catania
on the 17th and 18th of April. Working Group 3 will start one day before, i.e. on the 16th of April.
The meeting will have place at Faculty of Economics of University of Catania. More precisely rooms
A, B, C and D of Palazzo Fortuna, Corso delle Provincie 36 Catania have been booked for this purpose.
On the 16th of April, Working Group 3 will meet in room A of Palazzo Fortuna. You can see the exact

The meeting will start at 9.00 am the Thursday. The morning will be dedicated to a tutorial session on
Preference Handling. Thursday afternoon and Friday morning are dedicated to the Working Group
meetings.
Catania can be easily reached by air http://www.aeroporto.catania.it/?lang=eng.
The airport of Catania is very close to the centre of the town (approximately 4 km). You can reach
the centre by bus (Alibus, 0.8€) or by taxi. In this case, we suggest you to avoid to catch a taxi
outside of the airport and instead to phone to Social Taxi (+39.095.330966) which ensures a
transportation to the centre of the town for 20€.
We remember that on Saturday 19th of April there will be a workshop on "Quantitative methodologies
for Risk Assessment" with the aim of opening a discussion on the perspectives of applications to
financial rating and, more in general, to credit risk modelling and measurement, of the methodologies
considered in COST Action IC0602, with special emphasis to Information and Communication Technology.
In this meeting will participate representatives from Banca dItalia (Central Banck in Italy), Centrale
dei Bilanci (the main rating institution in Italy) and experts of several Italian Banks, including Unicredit,
the second largest bank in Europe. All participants to the meeting of COST Action are encouraged to
take actively part to this workshop.
